The first two people I saw when I stepped into 4E2 on 2 Jan 2009 were (the pretty and delicate features of ) Cherlyn Hoo and the cute and wide-eyed Fatin. The first question from Fatin was “Teacher, what are we doing today?” I didn’t know then that was actually very typical of Fatin :) Deep in my heart, I prayed that my new form class would be just as sweet as the first impression I had of the two girls. I never thought my prayers would be answered – way beyond my expectations.

Back in 2006, I had a Sec 4 class as my form class (31 boys + 8 girls). I wouldn’t say it was a peaceful year – how could it be when I had 31 guys to handle? (Imagine having 100 Taufiqs...gosh! ) But they treated me like a queen and despite everything, I thought I would not love another class like how I loved them. 4E2, you have proven me wrong.

The past 10 months with you are the best 10 months of my (7-years-old) teaching career. Never have I met youngsters – who are barely 16 years old - as hardworking, jovial, respectful, cooperative and most importantly, compassionate, as yourselves. I remember the first few EL lessons that we had. You guys were SUPER quiet. That’s probably a dream for some teachers. But I found it too quiet for my liking. I like my students to be vocal and not afraid to air their views – only then, in my opinion, would education effectively take place. Thus, I was pleasantly surprised when you responded enthusiastically to any activities that I tried to carry out in the subsequent lessons. <> I am sure some of you had probably wondered if I was rather mad at times but, thank you for not making that too obvious :P

Along the way, the class definitely had its ups and downs. I was really sad when our EL whiz fell very ill. I thought that the world was unfair - I mean there are so many evil people (or students) out there – why must our kind and harmless EL representative be so down on his luck? Then, unexpectedly, our artistic debater was soon struggling to cope with her eyesight problem. Again, I questioned the existence of justice... but well, things happen for a reason and like they say, every cloud has its silver lining. What I am most grateful for is how my dear 4E2 stuck by one another throughout the whole ordeals. I admire the innate strengths in all of you, I admire the compassion you possess. Thank you for being such angels to your two classmates. I hope that their resilience and tenacity have motivated the rest of you to reach for your goals, no matter what obstacles you may face.

Now that we’re reaching the end of the year, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for making 2009 one of the most memorable years of my life. Thank you for
1) being such an noisy yet, lovable bunch of people
2) always greeting me with much enthusiasm
3) making me exercise my vocal chords every morning : “Move forward, people.. hurry up, move to the front...”
4) for giving me the nicest Teachers’ Day T-shirt ( I was the envy of the whole staff room! )
5) for putting in lots of effort to improve in EL
6) for just being you.

All the best for the ‘O’ levels! I expect nothing but the best :)

Ohmygawd, school life starts again tmr :(
Homeworks, tests, late night studying and did i not mention O levels? :) (sarcasm)

To all my fellow classmates, lets bear with it for a few more months. We've to work hard and make our teachers proud! Must not get locked out of Mrs Lam's practical session again. Possess the spirit of a 4E2-ian! :D Remember our class motto? I don't either!

I’ll try to be brief. As much as possible.

Realized we got back some of our papers and were revealed all overall grades. Not exactly the best of grades but not exactly the worst either. In the space of a couple of days or so, each individual 3E2 experienced triumph and failure alike. Don’t worry, no one was spared.

At any rate, this isn’t the end. Yet. See it as a… temporary setback. There is still time. Time to identify where and how you went wrong and how to avoid similar mistakes, subsequently.

For now, it’s time for some much-needed rest after a whole year’s worth of work. We all need it, whether to a ‘small, certain or large extent’. Go out, play, watch a movie, or just hang out with your friends. It’s over, for now, so make the most of it.

i forgot something.
i wanna plan a class outing during september, i guess.
there are a few suggestions such as going to SENTOSA, EAST COAST PARK, PULA UBIN.
we have been placing our butts on the seats for too many hours in the classroom every single day.
THIS IS NOT HEALTHY. =D
let's go for a group cycling?! ^_^
a good exercise, and at the same time have fun.
nono, is have fun and at the same time, exercise.
killing two birds with a stone, hahs.



regarding the class tee, i don't really know what happened to it lah.
anyway, we must have a class tee no matter what!
some of us were discussing that, maybe we could design the class tee this year so that we could get to wear them next year. ^_^

Games involved (sort of ) : soccer kicking skills , volleyball , captain ball..
description : well.. not many ppl like captain ball.. and I LOVE IT!! so yeah.. anyway.. arrangement is like volleyball.. only 1 of your teammates goes to other team.. max ppl in a team 4/5 ... then is like.. u serve like volleyball.. and all.. the goal is for the teammate on the other side to catch the ball.. so yeah... its like captain ball only the person can move around =D so normal game of volley ball hit across and back again bla bla.. the twist is.. u can use leg kick also =D but MUST over net XD... and unlike volleyball , u can let the ball bounce 1 time then u hit =D then if hit out , opponent team get free "catch ball" meaning , if example i hit out , the any1 on opponent team can catch ball but just 1 time.. so they can example wait half the game finish then suddenly catch the ball and throw it normally..and then cannot liao... only 1 time per out XD so thats the game i guess.. lame ?? if yes.. ty! cus i am LALALAL

nxt week is post exam week. Mr Cheah want odd number ppl to help. I so unlucky to be one of them. =P No lesson next week! Yeah! and I hear from Mrs Lee that next week's dismissal time will be changed to 1pm. Friday, all CCA will be canceled! She say it is "eat with the family day."(principal wants that) In case you wonder which Mrs Lee I'm talking about, it's Mrs Lee Pei Kee. Monday is vesak day no school! any outings? haha..! Holiday is coming, must plan more outings! Have a happy holiday everyone! =)
